Men's Basketball Dominate Miami-Middletown

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University men's basketball team defeated Miami-Middletown on Sunday afternoon (Nov 26), 99-46. The Saints overall record improves to 4-2.

First Half
  • Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) drove to the rim for a layup with 17:16 on the clock to tie the game up at 2-2.
  • With 12:51 to play in the first half, sophomore transfer Ryan Paris (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) made a 3-point basket to make it a 12-4 game.
  • First year Cam McClain (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Trinity) drained in a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 31-10 and kick off the Saints 14-0 run over the Thunderhawks.
  • First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) would make the final basket of the first half with a 3 point basket to give the Saints a 48-14 lead going into the locker room at the half.
  • Nathan Dudukovich would lead the team with 14 points and had one rebound, going 4-7 from the 3-point line.
  • Ryan Paris would follow with nine points, one rebound, and one assist, going 3-4 from the 3-point line.
  • Reid Jolly led the Saints with six rebounds in the first half and had eight points and two assists.

  • Redshirt sophomore Cody Teten (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) drove to the rim for a layup with 4:03 to play (91-34).
  • Redshirt junior Abba Lawal (Kaduna, Nigeria/Withrow) made his first basket as a Saint with 1:20 to play and made a final free throw for the Saints final points of the game.
  • The Saints would win 99-46 over the Thunderhawks.
  • Four Saints led the way in scoring in the second half with six points each; Kyle Ross, Casey George, senior Eli Howard (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic), and senior Jalen Scott (Hebron, Ky./Scott). 
  • Cam McClain and sophomore transfer Mitchell Rylee (Fort Mitchell, Ky.Covington Catholic) both recorded three assists to lead the Saints. 
  • Four Saints also tallied three rebounds each to lead the team; Reid Jolly, junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry), Casey George, and Cam McClain.
  • The Saints were 59.4% (19-32) from the field, 50% (9-18) from the 3-point line, and 50% (4-8) from the free throw line in the second half.
