Women's Basketball Drops to Wheeling

(WHEELING, WV)-Thomas More University women's basketball team fell to Wheeling on Tuesday evening (Nov 14), 78-72. The Saints overall record falls to 1-2.

First Half
  • Sophomore Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) hit two free throws to put the Saints on the board 2-0 with 8:42 on the clock.
  • First year Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, Ohio/Eastern Brown) made a 3-point basket for the Saints final basket of the first quarter with 1:48 to play (15-21).
  • The Saints trailed 15-27 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Senior Kelly Brenner (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) kicked off the second quarter by draining a 3 pointer with 9:21 on the clock (18-27).
  • Senior Mattison Vickers (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a 3-point shot to put the Saints within three with 6:11 to play in the first half.
