Women's Basketball Defeats Wisconsin-Parkside for First Division II Win

(KENOSHA, WI)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday evening (Nov 10), 75-68 for the Saints first Division II win. The Saints overall record improves to 1-0.

First Half
  • Senior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) made a 3-point basket for the Saints first Division II basket with 8:40 on the clock (3-0).
  • With 3:33 left in the first quarter, first year Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, Ohio/Eastern Brown) drained a 3-point basket for her first collegiate basket to make it a 16-11 game.
  • Senior Maggie Jones (Piner, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a 3 pointer for the Saints final basket in the first quarter to make it a 22-13 game.
  • Sophomore Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) knocked in one free throw for the first point in the second quarter for the Saints with 7:38 in the half (23-15).
