Men's Basketball Falls to Drury in Season Opener

(BOLIVAR, MO.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to Drury on Friday evening (Nov 10) 73-70 in the Saints DII and season opener. The Saints overall record falls to 0-1.

First Half
  • Junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) drove to the basket for the Saints with 18:20 on the clock, for their first Division II basket (2-2).
  • Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) made a floater to tie the game up at 6-6 with 15:25 to go in the first half.
  • Jacob Jones would knock in a floater to put the Saints within six with 5:09 on the clock (17-22).
  • Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) would make a layup for the Saints final basket of the half to make it a 28-33 game going into the locker room at the half.
  • Reid Jolly led the Saints with 11 points and had one rebound.
