Strong Shooting Leads Saints Past No. 3 Campbellsville

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The No. 1 Thomas More University women's basketball team defeated No. 3 Campbellsville University Thursday evening 78-66, in front of a large crowd inside the Connor Convocation Center. This is the fifth-ranked opponent they have defeated this season.

  • The Saints jumped out to an eight-point advantage at 17-9 with 4:48 to play in the first quarter.
  • First-year Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) had six points during this stretch while junior Rachel Martin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) logged five.
  • Their lead continued to grow as they knocked down six threes in the quarter and took a 28-17 lead into the second.
  • The Saints held a steady lead in the second quarter, leading 39-27 with 4:23 left in the half.
