#1 Women's Basketball Defeats Lindsey Wilson For 17th Victory

(COLUMBIA, KY.)-#1 Thomas More University women's basketball team defeated Lindsey Wilson on Saturday afternoon (January, 7th), by a score of 70 to 56. The Saints overall record improves to 17-0 with a Mid South record of 11-0.

• First Year Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky. / Newport Central Catholic) got the Saints started with a layup off an assist from senior Courtney Hurst (Burlington, Ky. / Conner).
• Junior Rachel Martin (Cincinnati, Ohio / Summit Country Day) follows with a three pointer off an assist from senior Zoie Barth (Fort Thomas, Ky. / Highlands).
• Senior Emily Simon (Hilliard, Ohio / Hilliard Davidson) makes a layup off an assist from Rylee Turner to give Thomas More a 7 to 2 lead.
• After Lindsey Wilson tied the game at 7, Zoie Barth scored the next 5 Thomas More points to give them a 12 to 9 lead.
