#2 Men's Basketball Takes Down Campbellsville behind Ross's 17 Points

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.) - The #2 Thomas More University men's basketball team defeats Campbellsville University 70-62 to move to an overall record of 13-2 and a Mid South Conference record of 8-2.

• Redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio / Georgetown) got the Saints started with a layup to give them an early 2-0 lead.
• Sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington North) finds the basket to make the score 4-0 Thomas More.
• Casey George continues the hot start with a three pointer off an assist from Noah Pack to make the score 7-2 Saints.
• Redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky. / Campbell County) makes a layup off another Noah Pack assist to push the score to 9-4.
• Reid Jolly scores on a jumper, and is followed by a three pointer by redshirt sophomore Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind. / Jeffersonville) off a Reid Jolly assist to push the Saint lead to 8.
• After Campbellsville goes on an 8 point run to tie it up, sophomore Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind. / Lake Central) knocks down a pair of free throws to give Thomas More back the lead.
• Kyle Ross makes a three pointer off an assist from redshirt sophomore Matt Smith (Charlotte, NC. / Independence) to give Thomas More a 20 to 19 lead.
• Two Matt Smith layups in a row push Thomas More to a three point lead.
• With 2:31 to go in the half, Kyle Ross makes another three pointer, this time off an assist from Casey George.
• Kyle Ross follows that up with another three pointer assisted again by George. Making the lead 30 to 23.
• Kyle Ross finishes the half with a layup and Thomas More went into the half up 33 to 26.
• Kyle Ross led all scores with 13. He also tallied three rebounds.
• Matt Smith had 4 points to go with 2 rebounds and an assist.
• Casey George had 5 points to go with his 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
• Thomas More shot 5 of 7 from beyond the three point line.
• Thomas More shot 12-24 from the field in the half.

• Sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky. / Saint Henry) gets the Saints started in the second half with a three pointer to push the lead to 10.
• Reid Jolly pushes the Thomas More lead to 11 with a jumper at the 18 minute mark.
• A Noah Pack layup makes the score 41-32 with 16:41 to go.
• Casey George pushes the lead back to 10 when he hit a three pointer off an assist from Noah Pack.
• A Reid Jolly jumper, followed by a three pointer from Wyatt Vieth (Pack assist) makes the score 49-39 in favor of the Saints with 14 minutes to play.
• With 11:41 to go Matt Smith makes a layup, and Noah Pack follows with a layup to make it a 53-44 game.
• Kyle Ross makes another three pointer this time off an assist from Jacob Jones to make it a 10 point lead for the Saints.
• With 9:08 to go first year Jadon Coles (Cincinnati, Ohio / Lakota East) scored his first collegiate points to give Thomas More a 58-46 lead.
• Another layup from Matt Smith keeps the Saints lead at 12.
• A layup from Noah Pack and a free throw from Kyle Ross keep the Saints ahead by 10 with 6:04 to play.
• Reid Jolly and Noah Pack scored the next 5 Thomas More points to make the score 68 to 57 with 2:29 to play.
• Thomas More goes on to win 70 to 62.
• Thomas More shot 50% from the field (26-52), and 52.9% from beyond the three point line (9-17).
