Five Players in Double Figures Helps #22 Men's Basketball Defeat Lindsey Wilson

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-#22 Thomas More men's basketball team defeated Lindsey Wilson on Thursday evening (January 26), 72-64. The Saints overall record improves to 16-5 overall and 11-5 in conference.

 First Half
  • Redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) kicked of the Saints 17-0 run to start off the game with 18:08 on the clock.
  • Redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) drained a 3-point basket to extend the Saints lead to 19-10 with 8:38 to play in the first half.
  • With 4:03 to play in the first half, sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) hit a jump shot to make it a 31-20 game.
  • Sophomore Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) made a layup for the Saints final basket of the first half to put the Saints up 39-26 going into the locker room at the half.
  • Reid Jolly led the Saints with 9 points and had one assist and one rebound.
  • Casey George followed with eight points and two assists and led the team with three rebounds.
  • Sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) also had three rebounds to lead the team and had six points.
  • Noah Pack led the team with three rebounds and had four points and one assist.
  • Kyle Ross had eight points and two rebounds.
  • Sophomore Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) recorded four assists to lead the team and had four points and two rebounds.
  • The Saints were 55.2% (16-29) from the field, 33.3% (4-12) from the 3-point line, and 60% (3-5) from the free throw line in the first half.
Second Half
  • Reid Jolly knocked in two free throws to start things off in the second half for the Saints with 16:50 to play to make it a 41-30 game.
  • With 13:09 to play in the game, redshirt first year Derek Eddings (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) drove to the rim for a layup to put the Saints up 53-37.
  • Jacob Jones made a jumper to extend the Saints lead to 59-48 with 5:02 to play.
  • Wyatt Vieth drove to the basket for the final basket of the game to secure the Saints 72-64 win over the Blue Raiders.
  • Reid Jolly led the team in the second half with eight points and two assists and brought down three rebounds.
  • Wyatt Vieth also tallied eight points to lead the team and had two rebounds.
  • Jacob Jones followed with seven points and one rebound.
  • Casey George led the team defensively with seven rebounds and put up five points and had one assist.
  • The Saints were 36.4% (8-22) from the field, 22.2% (2-9) from the 3-point line, and 68.2% (15-22) from the free throw line in the second half.
  • Reid Jolly led the team with 17 points and had five rebounds and three assists.
  • Wyatt Vieth followed close behind with 14 points and had four rebounds.
  • Casey George recorded a back to back game double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team and recorded three assists.
  • Jacob Jones had four assists to lead the Saints and had 11 points and three rebounds.
  • Kyle Ross tallied 11 points, five rebounds, and one assist.
  • The Saints were 47.1% (24-51) from the field, 28.6% (6-21) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (18-27) from the free throw line.
