Crestview Hills, Ky. - Women's Hoop Dirt announced Head Coach Jeff Hans as the NAIA Women's Hoop Dirt Coach of the Year on Tuesday, April 5.
Head Coach Jeff Hans earned his First NAIA Women's Hoop Dirt Coach of the Year honor on Tuesday. Hans has been named National Coach of the Year four times in his 11 year Thomas More coaching tenure.
Hans earned his first ever NAIA National Coach of the Year award after helping direct his squad to the National Championship a couple of weeks ago. Hans' team finished the season with a 32-4 overall record and were the Mid-South Conference Regular Season Champions. The Saints finished their National Title run by outscoring opponents by 19.4 points per game in the National Tournament.
Hans' squad defeated ten ranked teams throughout the year and another five that were receiving votes. The team averaged 77.6 points per game to rank 18th in the country, were 10th in the country in total points with 2,794, and were ranked seventh in three pointers made per game at 9.3 per.
