Women's Tennis Moves Onto MSC Quarterfinals With Win Over Shawnee

Bowling Green, Ky. - The women's tennis program at Thomas More defeated the Bears of Shawnee State by a 4-0 score in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Thursday, April 21. With the win the Saints improve to 10-10 on the year and advance to the MSC Quarterfinals.

• First year Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio / Tippecaneo) and sophomore Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. / Simon Kenton) were up 4-3 over Carruthers and Scott.
• First-year Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain / IES Las Llamas) and first year Mia Ziebro (Cincinnati, Ohio/Homeschooled) beat Urban and Urban by a score of 6-1.
• Sophomore Raman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton-Verona) and sophomore Aman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton Verona) won against Eberhard and Romito with the score of 6-2.

• Dakota Schroeder won 6-1 and 6-0 over Carruthers.
• Cassie Saner defeated Scott by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
• Noelia Martinez Garcia won 6-0, 6-0 over Romito.
• Kimberly Sabga was up 6-1, 2-3 over Eberhard.
• Mia Ziebro was up 6-4, 1-2 over Lacey Urban 6-4 .
• Aman Dail was up 6-0 and 4-2 over Lexy Urban.

The Saints return to the court on April 22, for the Quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament In Bowling Green, Kentucky to take on Campbellsville University at 7 p.m. ET.
