Box Score 2 (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University baseball team fell to RV Georgetown (Ky.) on Saturday (April 2) with the scores of 9-4 in game one and 21-3 in game two. The Saints overall record falls to 19-14 and 7-8 in conference.
Game 1:
- Georgetown scored four runs in the top of the second inning (4-0).
- Junior Derek Atwood (Burlington, Ky./Conner) would step to the plate in the bottom of the third inning and hit a double to send in three runs to put the Saints within one (4-3). Junior Jacob Caruso (Rootstown, Ohio/Rootstown) stepped up next and doubled to score the tying run Derek Atwood (4-4).
- Georgetown would score three runs in the top of the fourth and two runs in the top of the seventh inning (9-4).
Game 2:
- Georgetown scored 10 runs in the top of the first inning (10-0).
- Tiger scored three runs in the top of the second inning (13-0).
- First year AJ Enginger (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) hit a 2-run home run over the left field fence to put the Saints on the board in the bottom of the third inning (14-2). First year Gavin Vogelgesang (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) would step up and double to left field to score junior Noah Weingartner (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) (14-3).
- Georgetown scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning and two runs in the sixth (21-3).
Game 1:
- Derek Atwood was 1-3 at the plate with a double, three RBIs, and one run scored.
- Jacob Caruso doubled and went 1-3 at the plate with a RBI.

- Sophomore right handed pitcher Landen Scott (Independece, Ky./Simon Kenton) pitched 3.0 innings, giving up seven earned runs off seven hits, and struck out four.
- Fifth year right handed pitcher Kyle Fieger (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) pitched 4.0 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) off three hits, and struck out four.
Game 2:
- Sophomore right handed pitcher Mason Berger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) pitched 0.2 innings, giving up eight runs (one earned) off five hits, and struck out one.
- Senior right handed pitcher Mitch Mierke (Milford, Ohio/Milford) pitched 1.1 innings, giving up five runs (three earned) off six hits, and struck out one.
- Junior left handed pitcher Hunter Nantz (London, Ky./North Laurel) pitched 2.0 innings, giving up six runs (five earned) off seven hits, and struck out one.
- First year right handed pitcher George Donohoe (Villa Hills, Ky./Immaculate Conception) pitched 2.0 innings, giving up two earned runs off two hits, and struck out five.
- Junior right handed pitcher Cooper Daniels (Franklin, Ohio/Franklin) pitched 1.0 inning, giving up no runs off one hit.
The Saints return to the field next weekend (April 8) in a conference series against Campbellsville in Campbellsville, Ky. starting with a 9-inning game at 4:00 pm ET.
