- In the bottom of the second first-year infielder AJ Enginger (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) would drive in the first run of the game with a ground out that would drive in junior Noah Weingartner (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle)) who was courteous running for catcher Jacob Caruso (Rootstown, Ohio/Rootstown) to make the score 1-0.
- The Cougars would score four unanswered runs to take a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth.
- In the bottom of the sixth Thomas More would start a rally with three runs as a Gavin Pearson (Burlington, Ky. / Randall K. Cooper) single would score AJ Stewart (Florence, Ky. / St. Henry) and Enginger.
- Senior Casey Nowak (Burlington, Ky. / Covington Catholic) would score the fourth run for the Saints after the pitcher made an error to tie the game up at four all.

- Nowak collected one hit in three at bats with one run scored.
- Pearson had a 1-4 stat line while collecting two runs batted in.
- Caruso had yet another solid appearance from the plate with a one-for-one stat line after drawing three walks.
- Sophomore Mason Berger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) would start the game for Thomas More throwing 2 2/3 innings allowing two runs on two hits while striking out five.

Baseball will return to the field on Friday, February 25 when they will open up Mid-South Conference play as they host Cumberland (Tenn.) in a single nine inning game on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and a nine and seven inning game on Saturday at 12:00 and 3:00 ET.
