(JOLIET, Ill.)-#2 Thomas More University men's basketball team defeated Roosevelt on Saturday afternoon in the Saint Francis Fighting Saints New Year's Classic, 85-72 to come out of the Classic undefeated. The Saints overall record improves to 12-2.
- Redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) knocked in two free throws to kick off the Saints 15-0 run to start the game off with 19:19 on the clock.
- Sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) would make a jump shot with 10:20 to play in the first half to extend the Saints lead to 19-5.
- With 5:50 to play in the half, redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) drove to the rim for a basket to make it a 26-13 game.
- Junior Riley Haubner (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) made a layup and one for the final points of the first and give the Saints a 10-point lead going into the locker room at the half (40-30).
- Casey George led the Saints in the first half with 16 points and had two rebounds.
- Noah Pack led the team defensively with four rebounds and put up seven points and had two assists.
- Reid Jolly recorded four rebounds and three assists to lead the Saints in the first half and had four points.
- Sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) had six points, three rebounds, and one assist.
- The Saints were 51.7% (15-29) from the field, 50% (5-10) from the 3-point line, and 62.5% (5-8) from the free throw line in the first half.
- Casey George started the second half off for the Saints with a layup to give the team a nine-point lead with 17:51 to play (42-33).
- Wyatt Vieth would knock in a 3-point basket with 12:01 on the clock to make it a 63-47 game.
- Sophomore transfer Kyle Ross (Saint John, Ind./Lake Central) made a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 78-59 with 6:36 to play in the game.
- Sophomore Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) closed out the scoring for the Saints with a jump shot with 1:09 left in the game to give the team a 85-70 lead.
- The Saints defeated the Lakers 85-72.

- Kyle Ross followed with 10 points, two assists, and one rebound.
- Casey George tallied three assists in the second half to lead the team and had nine points and two rebounds.

- The Saints were 65.4% (17-26) from the field, 71.4% (5-7) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (6-9) from the free throw line in the second half.
- Casey George recorded a career high 25Â points and three assists to lead the team and had four rebounds.
- Reid Jolly also tallied three assists to lead the Saints and had 16 points and six rebounds.
- Noah Pack led the Saints with nine rebounds and three assists and put up 11 points.
- Wyatt Vieth had 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
- Kyle Ross knocked in 10 points and had two rebounds and two assists,

The Saints return to action on January 5 against Campbellsville (Ky.) for conference play in the Connor Convocation Center at 7:30 pm ET.
