#2 Men's Basketball Fall to #19 Freed Hardeman on the Road

(HENDERSON, Tenn.)-#2 Thomas More University men's basketball fall to #19 Freed Hardeman, 58-88 on Thursday evening (December 15). The Saints overall record falls to 9-2 and 6-2 in conference.

• Sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) knocked in the first basket for the game to start the Saints 5-0 run over the Lions with 18:58 on the clock.
• Redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) would drain a 3-point shot to help the Saints regain the lead with 13:52 to play in the first half (8-7).
• With 6:26 on the clock in the first half, Noah Pack would make a layup to put the Saints within six (17-23).
• Sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) would make a 3-point jump shot with four seconds to play for the final basket of the half to make it a 24-38 game going into the locker room,
• Sophomore Jacob Jones (Jefferonsville, Ind,/Jeffersonville) led the Saints across the board in the first half with seven points, five rebounds, and three assists.
• Casey George followed with six points and two rebounds.
• Wyatt Vieth tallied six points, two rebounds, and one assist.
• The Saints were 38.5% (10-26) from the field, 28.6% (4-14) from the 3-point line, and 0% (0-1) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Wyatt Vieth kicked off the second half with a 3-point basket with 19:56 to play in the game (27-38.
• With 15:29 on the clock, sophomore transfer Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) knocked in a 3-pointer for his first basket as a Saint to put the team within 12 (36-48).
• Wyatt Vieth made a 3-point shot with 5:57 on the clock to make it a 51-70 game.
• Kyle Ross made one free throw for the Saints final basket of the game.
• Saints fell to the Lions 59-88.
• Wyatt Vieth led the Saints with 12 points in the second half.
• Kyle Ross followed with 10 points and led the team defensively with four rebounds.
• The Saints were 50% (9-18) from the field, 50% (5-10) from the 3-point line, and 63.2% (12-19) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Wyatt Vieth led the team with 18 points and had two rebounds and one assist.
• Casey George followed with 10 points, three rebounds, and one assist.
• Kyle Ross had 10 points and four rebounds.
