Women's Soccer Advances to the MSC Tournament Semifinals for the First Time in Program History with Big Day from Mohs

(COLUMBIA, Ky.)-No. 6 seed Thomas More University women's soccer team defeated No. 3 seed Lindsey Wilson on Friday afternoon (November 4), 3-1. This is the first time in program history the women's soccer program has advance to the Mid-South Conference Semifinals. The Saints overall record improves to 12-5-2.

How they scored
  • First year Olivia Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) found the back of the net to put the Saints on the board 1-0 in the 37th minute with an assist by junior Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield). This was Meddings 16th assist of the season, which ties her for the program record for most assists in a season. 
  • In the 62nd minute, junior transfer Sterre Harsveld van der Veen (Utrecht, Netherlands/USG) lobbed a pass from midfield to junior Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) who chipped the ball over the defender and dribbled the ball around the keeper for the Saints second goal of the game (2-0).
  • Mohs would score again in the 73rd minute off a pass from first year Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) to extend the Saints lead to 3-0.
  • Lindsey Wilson's Emma Lindsell would score in the 89th minute with an assist from Irma Thoresen (3-1).
