Women's Soccer Falls to UT Southern in the Semifinals of the MSC Tournament to Close Out Season

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)- No. 6 seed Thomas More University women's soccer team fell to no. 2 seed UT Southern in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Wednesday evening (November 9), 1-0. The Saints finish the season with an overall record of 12-6-2 and 5-5 in conference.

• UT Southern's Estelle Badoedana Ekada scored in the 78th minute from behind the 18 to give the Firebirds the 1-0 win over the Saints.

• Senior Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) recorded one shot on goal.
• Junior Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) had one shot.
• First year Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) tallied one shot.
• First year Emilia Geren (Mason, Ohio/Mason) had one shot. 
• First year goal keeper Lauren Welsh (Ballyclare, Northern Ireland/Ballyclare) made three saves.

The Saints will return back to the field next season in the fall of 2023.
