(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.)-Thomas More University men's soccer team wraps up the regular season with an impressive 9-0 victory over Pikeville. The nine goals ties a program record for goals in a single game. Thomas More moves to (9-5-2) overall and a Mid South record of (4-4-2).

  • Sophomore Blake Ivey (Independence, Ky. / Simon Kenton) got the the started with a goal off an assist by sophomore Flo Meyer (Mulheim, Germany / Luisenschule) in the 15th minute of the game.
  • Sophomore Nathan Ortiz (Orem, Utah) found the back of the net two minutes later off assists from junior Charlie Allan (Cardiff, Wales / Cardiff) and sophomore Finn Battenstein (Ratingen, Germany / Martin Luther King Gesamtschule).
  • Flo Meyer scored the third goal for the Saints off a free kick in the 23rd minute of the match.
  • Redshirt first year Matthaus Buechner (Goshe, Ohio / Goshen) followed with a goal of his own off a pass from Nathan Ortiz in the 25th minute.
  • Sophomore Ben Oliver (Eckington, England / Hartpury College) scored the Saints 5th goal in the 34th minute off a pass from Charlie Allan.
  • Junior Jordi Cabau (Cubelles, Spain / Escola Vitae) followed with a goal in the 36th minute off assists from first year Saeed Charles (Lavantille, Trinidad and Tobago / Fatima College) and Finn Battenstein.

  • Matthaus Buechner scored his second goal of the contest in the 54th minute off a pass from Nathan Ortiz.
  • First year Jan Steinkusch (Oberhausen, Germany / Gesamtschule Osterfeld) scored the final goal for the Saints in the 85th minute off a pass from redshirt junior Thomas Wolfe (Marysville, Ohio / Marysville).
