Dayton, Ohio - The women's tennis program at Thomas More fell to the University of Dayton 7-0 on Sunday, September 19th.
- First-year Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio / Tippecaneo) fell to Neena Katauskas in the match up of number one's 6-0 and 6-1.
- In the battle of number two's Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain / IES Las Llamas) lost to Erica Wojcikiewicz 6-0 and 6-2.
- Junior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago / International School of Port of Spain) dropped her match in the three spot to Paige Kompa by scores of 6-1 and 6-1.
- Sophomore Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. / Simon Kenton) played in the number four spot for the Saints where she would fall to Laura Greb 6-2, 6-1.
- Sophomore Aman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif. / Walton Verona) played in the five spot for Thomas More, falling to Claire Ghodotti 6-1 and 6-0.
- Sophomore Madi Carle (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mercy McAuley) held the sixth position for the Saints taking on Jordan Mitchell and would fall 6-0 and 6-1.
- Schroeder and Saner would team up in the number one doubles spot for Thomas More fell 6-1
- Garcia and Dail held the number two spot falling 6-0.
- Sabga and Sydney Johnson (Independence, Ky. / St. Henry District) fell 6-0 in the final match of the day.
The women's tennis team will return to the courts on October 16, when they take on Wittenberg at the Five Seasons Sports Club.
