#4 Saints Break Triple Digits for First Time this Season with 100-42 Win Over Bethel

(McKenzie, Tennessee)- #4 Thomas More breaks triple digits for the first time this season, with a 100-42 win over Bethel University. The Saints traveled to Mckenzie, Tennessee for the second of their two Mid-South match ups this week. This improves their overall record to 15-0 and 10-0 in the conference.

 

  • Sophomore Zoie Barth (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) started things off for the Saints scoring from the paint, making the score 2-0 with 8:47 on the clock.
  • Thomas More went on a 17-0 run over Bethel in the second quarter. They outscored Bethel 52-12 in the first half.
  • Barth led the team with 14 points, three assists, and one rebound.
  • Sophomore Courtney Hurst (Burlington, Ky./Conner) followed with 12 points and led the team with three assists and had three rebounds.
  • Senior Briana McNutt (Maysville, Ky./Mason County) scored nine points and led the team in rebounds with ten.
  • The saints had nine points form the bench, 28 points in the paint, ten points off second chance shots, 17 points off of turnovers, and 22 rebounds.
  • Thomas More was 54.84% (12/31) from the field and 50% (7/14) from the three-point line. Bethel was 20% (5-25) from the field and 18.18% (2-11) from the three-point line.

  • Hurst started things off for the Saints in the second half scoring off a second chance shot from the paint with 9:09 on the clock, extending their lead to 54-12.
  • Hurst led the team with ten points in the second half.
  • Junior Taylor Clos () followed with eight points.
  • The Saints were 51.6% (51-61) from the field and 56.25% (9/16) from the three-point line in the second half. 

 

  • Hurst led the Saints in points with 22, had four rebounds, and three assists.
  • Barth followed with 15 points, two rebounds, and the team with six assists.
  • McNutt also had 15 points, led the team with ten rebounds, and had one assist.
  • They had 29 bench points, 45 points in the paint, 15 second chance shots, 21 points off of turnovers, and rebounds.

 

The Saints return to the court January 18 as they travel to Columbia, Ky to take on #17 Lindsey Wilson with a 3:00 pm ET tip off.
