Box Score (WILMORE, Ky.) – The Thomas More University baseball team fell, 4-2, to Asbury University today (Tuesday, March 10, 2020) in a non-conference game in Wilmore, Kentucky.
 
- Thomas More took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning when sophomore first baseman Brett Benzinger (Taylor Mill, Ky./New Richmond (Ohio)) scored on a run batted-in single by senior designated hitter BJ Elder (Murray, Ky./Murray).
- Asbury scored two runs in the fourth and two in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.
- The Saints cut the lead to 4-2 in the seventh when first-year pinch hitter Bryce Ziegler (Silver Grove, Ky./Highlands) had a RBI single scoring sophomore second baseman Bailey Martin (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton).
 
- Martin was three-for-five with two doubles and a run scored.
- Elder was one-for-four with a RBI.
- Benzinger was one-for-three with a run scored.
 
- First-year pitcher Hunter Nantz (London, Ky./North Laurel) suffered the loss as he pitched five innings giving up four runs (all earned) on seven hits, while striking out three.
- Senior pitcher David Armstrong (Erlanger, Ky./Covington Catholic) pitched three scoreless innings of relief and gave up two hits, while striking out two.
 
- Thomas More will host 11th-ranked University of the Cumberlands in a three-game Mid-South Conference series on Friday and Saturday (March 13 and 14).
- The Saints and Patriots will open the series on Friday with a single-nine inning game with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
