Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College women's soccer team remained undefeated as it defeated Berry College, 1-0, today (Friday, September 14, 2012) in a non-conference match at The Bank of Kentucky Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the win, the Saints improve to 5-0-0. The shutout was Thomas More's fifth straight shutout. With the loss, the Vikings fall to 2-3-0.
The lone goal in the match was at the 46:00 mark when freshman forward Olivia Huber (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) scored off a cross from senior forward Lauren Wietmarschen (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley).
Freshman goalkeeper Abbie McBride (Lakeville, Ind./LaVille) played all 90 minutes in goal and earned the shutout win as she recorded one save.
Thomas More out-shot Berry, 8-2, but Berry won the battle of corner kicks, 8-5.
The Saints return to action tomorrow when they travel to Anderson, Indiana to play Anderson University at 3 p.m.
