Josie Gruber of Thomas More women's soccer was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week of September 28th.
Gruber was a key piece of the offense in the Saints' two victories this past week. In Thursday night's 1-0 win over Northwood, the Westerville, Ohio native placed a shot just underneath the crossbar in the 63rd minute for the game-winning goal, her 5th of the season. Ivy Hoffman who scored the game-winning goal in Thomas More's 2-0 triumph over Malone The victory pushed the Saints into sole possession of 2nd place in the G-MAC standings.
Gruber and women's soccer will be looking for their 8th victory in 9 matches when they visit Ohio Dominican on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
