Saints swept by Northwood

(MIDLAND, MI)- Thomas More University's softball team fell in both games Monday (April 20), 8-0 (5 innings) in game one and 7-1 in game two against Northwood University. The Saints overall record is now 19-25 overall and 6-12 within the conference.
 

Game two:

• In the top of the 5th, Junior Anna Greenwell (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield allowing sophomore Haylee Palmer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) to score putting the score at 1-7.

 

Game one:

• First year Alisha Fox (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) went 1-2.
• Sophomore Haylee Palmer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) went 1-1 with a walk.
• Junior Adi Johnson (Ross, Ohio/Ross) went 1-2.

Game two:

• Haylee Palmer went 1-2 with a double, 1 run and 1 walk.
• First Year Kendyl Feutz (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North) went 1-2.

 

Game one:

• First year Alisha Fox (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) pitched 4.0 innings allowing 8 runs with 7 earned on 10 hits, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.

Game two:

• Junior Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) pitched 3.1 innings allowing 4 runs with 3 earned on 6 hits, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. 
• Junior Avery Gottlieb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) pitched 2.2 innings allowing 3 runs with 3 earned on 5 hits, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.

 

The Saints will look to come back tomorrow (April 21) against Hillsdale College for another conference doubleheader. The games are scheduled for 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
