Men’s Lacrosse falls to Walsh in final home game of regular season

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University men's lacrosse team fell to Walsh University on Saturday (April 11) afternoon by a score of 20-8. The Saints fall to 5-8 overall on the season and 3-5 within the G-MAC.
 
How they scored
  • Senior Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) connected with junior Noah Koenig (Erlanger, KY / Dixie Heights) as the Saints scored just 45 seconds into the game.
  • Walsh scored five goals before senior James Kenrick (Springboro, OH / Springboro) had two goals within 15 seconds for the final goals of the first quarter. The first goal had an assist from senior Patrick Giles (Goodyear, AZ / Desert Edge) while the second goal was assisted by sophomore Colin Scalise (Worthington, OH / Thomas Worthington).
  • Junior Stephen Schodowski (Chula Vista, CA / St. Augustine) won a faceoff and immediately passed the ball to James Kendrick who scored after the ball was in play for just five seconds.
  • In the third quarter, senior Graham Houser (Hilliard, OH / St. Charles) connected with redshirt junior Nick Borlin (Worthington, OH / Thomas Worthington) as the Saints scored on a man-up opportunity at the 9:59 mark.
  • Senior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei Academy / Onondaga CC) scored with 2:57 remaining the third as the score turned 15-6 in favor of Walsh.
  • Graham Houser scored another rapid goal for the Saints as Stephen Schodowski won a face off and got the assist.
  • Redshirt sophomore Bryce Collins (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy / Mercyhurst) scored Thomas More's final goal at the 5:30 mark of the fourth quarter.

The Saints will finish the regular season on the road. Their first stop is at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA next Friday (April 17). The game is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
