(SPRINGFIELD, Ill.)-Thomas More University's softball team fell to Missouri S&T in their double header season opener, 1-0 (8-innings) in game one and 4-1 game two. The Saints overall record falls to 0-2.

Game two:
- In the top of the fourth inning, sophomore Emma Fegan (Bargersville, Ind./Roncalli) scored on a wild pitch to make it a 4-1 game.

Game Two: Missouri S&T won 4-1
- First year Maura Simpson (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) went 2-2 with two singles.
- Emma Fegan went 1-3 with a single.
- Sophomore Haylee Palmer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) went 1-3 with a double.
- Junior Adi Johnson (Ross, Ohio/Ross) went 1-3 with a single.
Game one:
- Junior Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) pitched 7.1 innings, allowing one earned run on 10 hits and struck out 8.
Game two:
- First year Alisha Fox (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) pitched 5.0 innings, allowing four runs with three earned on 8 hits and struck out four.
- Junior Becca LeMay (Pickerington, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) pitched 2.0 innings allowing, zero earned runs on three hits and struck out two.

The Saints will be back in action tomorrow (February 13th) for a double header against University of Illinois Springfield starting at 11:30 am ET.
