Men's Basketball Secures Conference Win Over Northwood

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Northwood, 75-71. The Saints overall record improves to 8-5 and 2-4 in conference.

• Senior Mitchell Rylee (Ft.Mitchell, Ky./Covington Catholic) started things off for the Saints by driving to the rim for a layup to put the Saints up 2-0 with 19:39 on the clock.
• Junior Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) drained a 3-point basket with 16:37 to play in the first half to make it a13-6 game.
• First year Colin McClure (Columbus, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) hit a jumper to extend the Saints lead to 22-13 with 10:58 to play.
• With 6:56 to play in the half, Mitchell Rylee made a layup to put the Saints up 31-25.
• Redshirt first year Daniel Allen (Hodgenville, Ky./Larue County) drove to the rim for a layup with 2:15 left for the Saints final basket of the half. (39-32).
• The Saints would lead 39-36 going into the locker room at the half.
• Daniel Allen led the team with 11 points and five rebounds.
• Mitchell Rylee led with three assists and had eight points and four rebounds.
• The Saints were 51.4% (18-35) from the field, 17.7% (2-12) from the 3-point line, and 100% (1-1) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Daniel Allen drove to the rim to make a layup for the first points of the second half with 19:13 on the clock (41-36).
• With 14:38 to play in the game, Mitchell Rylee laid a ball in to put the Saints up 54-46.
• Colin McHale knocked in a 3-point basket to make it a 10 point game (64-54) half way through the second half.
• Daniel Allen slammed in a dunk at the 4:10 mark to put the Saints up 68-63 with 4:10 to go.
• Colin McClure made two free throws with five seconds remaining to secure the Saints 75-71 win over the Timberwolves.
• Mitchell Rylee led the team with eight points and had two rebounds and two assists in the second half.
• Daniel Allen led the team with five rebounds and had seven points.
• The Saints were 57.9% (15-26) from the field, 33.3% (4-12) from the 3-point line, and 100% (2-2) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Daniel Allen led the Saints with a double double of 18 points, 10 points, and two blocks.
• Mitchell Rylee recorded five assists to lead the team and had 16 points and six rebounds.
• Colin McHale and redshirt sophomore Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Frederick Douglass) both had 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
• The Saints were 54.1% (33-61) from the field, 25% (6-24) from the 3-point line, and 100% (3-3) from the free throw line.

The Saints return Saturday (Jan 10) against Hillsdale at 3:00 pm ET in the Connor Convocation Center.
