Men's Basketball Falls in a Heartbreaker to ODU

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to ODU on Monday (Jan 5), 62-61. The Saints overall record falls to 7-5 and 1-4 in conference.
First Half
  • Redshirt junior Colin McHale (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) drained a 3-point basket to kick things off with 19:43 on the clock to make it a 3-0 game.
  • Senior Mitchell Rylee (Ft.Mitchell, Ky./Covington Catholic) drove to the rim for a layup to put the Saints up by five (10-5) with 15:04 to play in the half.
  • Junior Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) hit back to back 3-point shots in the middle of the first half to extend the Saints lead to 16-8.
  • With 6:04 to play, Mitchell Rylee made a layup to put the Saints within three (18-21).
  • Colin McHale made a tip in and one for the Saints final basket of the half with 2:43 to play (24-29).
