Women's Volleyball Swept By Wisconsin-Parkside to Conclude UIndy Invitational

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers on Saturday (September 6).  The Rangers defeated the Saints in three sets as Thomas More now moves on to 0-3 overall.

 

Wisconsin Parkside defeats Thomas More, 3-0.

  • Wisconsin-Parkside won the opening set 25 to 21.

  • Wisconsin-Parkside won the second set 25 to 11.

  • Wisconside-Parkside won the third set 25 to 12.


  • Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/ Liceo Curie) led the Saints in kills with 7.

  • Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the team in 

  • Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 14.  She also led the team in blocks with 3.

  • Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) led the Saints in digs with 9.


The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday (September 13) against Emory & Henry University in Cleveland, TN.  The match is set for 1:00 PM.
