Women’s Volleyball Extends Win Streak with Win Over Ursuline

(Crestview Hills, KY) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the Ursuline College Arrows on Friday (September 26).  The Saints defeated the Arrows in three straight sets as they now move to 2-0 in conference and 5-3 overall.

Results
Thomas More defeated Ursuline, 3-0.

  • Thomas More won the opening set 25 to 15.

  • Thomas More won the second set 25 to 8.

  • Thomas More won the third set and the match 25 to 14.
     

Notables

  • Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 12.  She also led the team in aces with 3.

  • Senior Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy McAuley), senior Ella Bell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North), and senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) all led the team in blocks with 2 a piece.

  • Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 26.

  • Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) led the Saints in digs with 10.

  • The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Friday (October 3) against Northwood University at home.  The match is set for 6:00 PM.
