Women's Volleyball Extends Win Streak to Six With Five Set Thriller Over Northwood

(Crestview Hills, KY) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the Northwood University Timberwolves on Friday (October 3).  The Saints defeated the Timberwolves in five sets as they now move to 3-0 in conference and 6-3 overall.

Thomas More defeated Northwood, 3-2.

• Northwood won the opening set 25 to 15.

• Thomas More won the second set 25 to 19.

• Northwood won the third set 25 to 12.

• Thomas More won the fourth set 25 to 21.

• Thomas More won the fifth set and the match 15 to 12.

• Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 24.  

• Junior Isabella Schultz (Holt, Michigan/Lansing Catholic) led the team in aces with 3.

• Senior Ella Bell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North), Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie), and Sophomore Kat Koepke (New Haven, IN/New Haven) all led the team in blocks with 2 a piece.

• Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 44.

• Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) led the Saints in digs with 33.

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday (October 4) against Hillsdale College at home.  The match is set for 12:00 PM.
