Women's Lacrosse Falls to Top Seeded Ashland in G-MAC Semifinals

(Ashland, Ohio) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse team took on the top seeded Ashland Eagles on Thursday (May, 1st) in the G-MAC Semifinals. The Saints fell by a final score of 21 to 7. Thomas More wraps up the season with an overall record of 5-14 on the year.

• Ashland scored the first goal of the day, and sophomore Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) answered with a FPS goal to make it 1 to 1.
• After another Ashland goal, first year Brynn Halbeisen (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) scored off an assist from sophomore Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) to keep us tied at 2.
• Ashland scored the next six goals to take an 8 to 2 lead.
• Junior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) ended the run with a goal off an assist from Alex Nunn.
• Ashland extended their lead with three more goals to make it 11 to 3.
• Senior Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon) found the back of the net for her first goal of the day to make it a 7 goal game.
• Ashland scored the next 7 goals to take an 18 to 4 lead into the third quarter.
• Anna Wells scored off an assist from Brynn Halbeisen, and then a few minutes later recorded an assist on a Halbeisen goal as the Saints trail 20 to 6.
• Gracey Robinson would record the last Saint goal of the day as Thomas More would go on to fall 21 to 7.

• Anna Wells tallied three points in the match. She recorded a goal and 2 assists to go with 2 caused turnovers and a ground ball.
• Brynn Halbeisen tallied two goals and an assist on the day.
• Gracey Robinson scored two goals on the offensive end for the Saints.
