Women's Track & Field Place Fifth at the Jenna Strong Invitational

(WILMINGTON, Ohio)-Thomas More University's women's track and field team placed fifth out of 14 teams on Saturday (April 5).

Sophomore Miranda Csordas placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 20.90.
Junior Joelle Klavon (Carmel, IN./Guerin Catholic) came in fifth in the 400-meter race with a time of 1:02.01.
Junior Jess Sanders (Finneytown, OH./Finneytown) ran a time of 1:17.56 to come in eight in the 400-meter hurdles.
Junior Maggie McSorley (Versailles, KY./Woodford County) followed in ninth with a time of 1:21.27 in the 400-meter hurdles.
In the 800-meter run, unior Marlee Ross (Brookville, OH./Brookville) placed seventh with a time of 2:25.96.
Junior Dyllan Hasler (Independence, KY./Scott) ran a time of 4:55.87 to place fourth in the 1500-meters.
Sophomore Ashtyn Gindling (Sunman, Ind./East Central) placed 10th in the 1500-meters with a time of 5:24.50.
Jess Sanders came in second in the 3000-meter steeple with a time of 13:26.86.
Junior Mya Bross placed 11th in the 5000-meters with a time of 20:44.11.
Junior Savannah Faught (Georgetown, OH./Georgetown)won the 10,000-meters with a time of 39:15.43.
Sophomore Emily Brown (Villa Hills, Ky./Dixie Heights) came in fourth in the 10,000-meters with a time of 50:39.05.
Sophomore McKenzie Bien (Harrison, OH./William Henry Harrison) placed second in the discus throw with a 35.23 meters throw and 12th in the shot put with a 9.32 meters throw.
Senior Victoria Todd (Independence, Ky./Kings Mills) came in seventh in the discuss throw with a throw of 31.86 meters.
Miranda Csordas placed sixth in the high jump with a 1.37 meter jump and 12th in the javelin throw with a 18.34 meters throw.
The 4x800-meter relay team consisting of Joelle Klavon, Marless Ross, Ashtyn Gindling, and Maggie McSorley placed second with a time of 9:57.98.
The second 4x800-meter relay team consisting of Savannah Faught, Maggie McSorley, Jess Sanders, and Ava Reveal placed fourth with a time of 11:06.49.

The Saints return April 12 at the NKU Invitational in Alexandria, Ky. at Bishop Brossart High School.
