Saints Fall to Alabama-Huntsville in Sunday Action

(Huntsville, AL) - Thomas More's women's lacrosse team fell to Alabama Huntsville on Sunday (March, 9th) by a final score of 22 to 7 on the road. Thomas More moves to 0-6 overall on the season.

• UAH scored 7 straight goals to take a 7-1 lead.
• Sophomore Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota East) scored off an assist from Alex Nunn to make it 7 to 2.
• Anna Wells answered two more UAH goals with an unassisted goal to make it 9 to 3.
• Junior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) scored right before half to make it a 15 to 4 game.
• UAH scored to open the half, sophomore Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) scored off an assist from Anna Wells to make it 16 to 5.
• Meg Pierani followed with a goal off an assist from first year Elina Emmons (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) to make it a 10 goal game.
• Elina Emmons answered another UAH goal with an unassisted goal making it a 17 to 7 game.
• UAH ended the game with 5 more goals.
