Saints Comeback From Down 9, Fall in Overtime to Tiffin

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse team fell to the the Tiffin Dragons on Saturday (March, 29th) by a final score of 15 to 14 in overtime. Thoams More drops to 0-11 on the season and 0-2 in G-MAC play.

• Tiffin opened the game with 6 straight goals to sprint out to an early lead.
• In the second quarter, senior Eva Kinwel (Arnhem, Netherlands / Beekdal Lyceum) broke the scoreless start for the Saints with a goal off an assist from sophomore Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland). (1-6)
• Tiffin extended their lead with 4 more goals to make it a 10 to 1 game.
• Senior Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon) and Alex Nunn score back to back goals for the Saints as it is a 7 goal game.
• Tiffin ends the half with a goal to make it a 11 to 3 score.
• Alex Nunn scored the first goal of the second half to keep the Saints within 7.
• Following a Tiffin goal, junior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) scored two straight goals with one off an assist from first year Elina Emmons (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) as Thomas More trails 12 to 6.
• A goal from Gracey Robinson and two goals from sophomore Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) with assists coming from Robinson and Nunn, finds the saints behind by 3.
• First year Brynn Halbeisen (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) and Meg Pierani continues the surge from the Saints with two more goals to make it a 12 to 11 game as we enter the final quarter.
• With 10:43 to go in the game, Alex Nunn passes the ball to Meg Pierani for the Saint goal to tie the game at 12.
• Tiffin reclaims the lead with 2 goals as they lead 14 to 12.
• Gracey Robinson responds with back to back goals (assist from Emmons) to tie the game at 14 and forcing overtime.
• Tiffin scores at the beginning of the overtime period to win 15 to 14.

• Gracey Robinson scored 4 goals in the game with an assist for the Saints.
• Meg Pierani tallied 4 goals with 8 shots on goal.
• Alex Nunn recorded 5 points on 2 goals and 3 assists. She also had 5 draw controls and 4 caused turnovers.
• Eva Kinwel recorded a goal, 5 ground balls, and 2 caused turnovers.

• Thomas More returns to action on Thursday (April 3rd) when they travel to North Canton, OH to take on Walsh. Game set to begin at 3:00 PM.
