Dominic Rossi Breaks Single Game Kills Record, as Saints Fall in Five

(Crestview Hills, KY) - The Thomas More University men's volleyball team faced off against the Tusculum Pioneers Friday (March 28).  The Pioneers defeated the Saints in a reverse sweep as Thomas More now moves on to 7-11 overall.

 

Results

 

Tusculum defeated Thomas More, 2-3.

 

  • Thomas More won the opening set 28 to 26.

  • Thomas More won the third set 25 to 21.

  • Tusculum won the third set 25 to 22.

  • Tusculum won the fourth set 25 to 22.

  • Tusulum won the match in the fifth set 15 to 8.

 

Notables

 

  • Junior Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area) led the Saints in kills with 25 which sets a new program single game record.

  • Junior Will Busken (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) led the team in service aces with 3.  He also led the match in blocks with 2.

  • Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 51.

  • Freshman Tyler Vasquez (Villa Park, IL/Bolingbrook) led the Saints in digs with 9.

 

Up Next

 

  • The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to action on Thursday (April 10) against the University of Charleston at home.  The match is set for 7:00 PM.
