Saints Fall on the Road at Cumberlands

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Men's Lacrosse team at Thomas More took on Cumberlands (KY) on Wednesday (March, 26th). The Saints fell by a final score of 22 to 8. Thomas More moves to 2-7 overall.

• With 12:42 on the clock in the first, junior Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) scores the first goal of the game off an assist from sophomor Noah Koenig (Erlanger, KY / Dixie Heights).
• Cumberlands scores 11 straight to make it an 11 to 1 game.
• Thomas More gets two goals before half from senior Colin Thornton (Grafton, MA / Grafton) and graduate student Wyatt Fruland (Cincinnati, OH / Indian Hill) of an assist from Lethbridge to make it 12 to 3 at the break.
• In the third quarter, the Saints got two goals from first year Camden Newell (Westerville, OH / Olentangy Orange) with an assist from Fruland as the Saints trail 18 to 5.
• Spencer Lethbridge and junior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei) score back to back goals as Thomas More trails 19 to 7.
• Wyatt Fruland scores the last goal of the match unassisted as it is 22 to 8.

• Wyatt Fruland and Spencer Lethbridge both led the Saints with 3 points, on 2 goals and an assist each.
• Camden Newell tallied 2 goals on the day.
• Junior goalie Trevor Almanza (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) recorded 10 saves on the day.
