Lethbridge and Fruland Post Hat-Tricks in Loss to Davenport

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Men's Lacrosse team at Thomas More took on Davenport on Saturday (March, 29th). The Saints fell by a final score of 18 to 11. Thomas More moves to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in G-MAC play.

• Davenport scored the games first two goals to take the early lead.
• Graduate Wyatt Fruland (Cincinnati, Oh / Indian Hill) scored the first two goals for the Saints with one off an assist from junior David Billings (Simpsonville, Ky / Martha Layne Collins) as TMU trails 3 to 2.
• Davenport extended their lead to 8 to 2 with 5 more goals.
• Sophomore Noah Koenig found the back of the net to cut into the Davenport lead. (3-8)
• Davenport extended their lead into the second half with four more goals. (3-12)
• Davenport scores two more goals following a junior Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) goal off an assist from sophomore Aspen Cameron (Plain City, OH / Jonathon Alder). (4-14)
• Junior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei) and first year Camden Newell (Westerville, OH / Olentangy Orange) score goals for the Saints off assists from junior Graham Houser (Hilliard, Oh / St. Charles) and Wyatt Fruland. (6-14)
• Davenport scored, and the Saints responded with three goals from the sticks of Joe Mariani, Graham Houser and Wyatt Fruland (Assists from Lethbridge and Fruland) to make it a 15 to 9 game.
• Spencer Lethbridge answeres a Davenport goal off an assist from Wyaty Fruland to keep the game at 6.
• Davenport adds two more goals, and Wyatt Frualand finds Spencer Lethbridge with a pass for a goal to make it an 18 to 11 fina.

• Wyatt Fruland led the Saints with 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points on the day. He also added 2 grounds balls.
• Spencer Lethbridge posted 3 goals and an assist on the day.
• First year Logan Kline (Hilliard, OH / Hilliard Darby) posted a team high 7 caused turnovers to go with 4 ground balls on the day.

Thomas More returns on Saturday (April, 5th) when they travel to Eklins, WV to take on Davis & Elkins College. That match is set to begin at 12:00 PM.
