Rylee's Career High Double Double Soars Saints Past the Chargers

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated RV Hillsdale on Thursday (Feb 6), 73-63. The Saints overall record 14-8 and 9-6 in conference.

• Junior Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Covington Catholic) kicked off the scoring with a layup to put the Saints on the board 2-0 with 19:33 on the clock.
• Senior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) closed out the Saints 6-0 to start the game for the Saints with 15:53 to play in the half to make it a 6-0 game.
• With 12:00 minutes to play in the half, redshirt first year Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Frederick Douglass) drained a 3-point shot to extend the lead to 17-9.
• Junior Ryan Paris (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) banged in a 3-point shot with 6:32 remaining in the half to put the Saints up 29-16.
• Casey George made the final basket of the half with 1:29 on the clock to make it a 41-23 game going into the locker room at the half.
• Mitchell Rylee led the team with 14 points and four rebounds in the first half and had one assist.
• Kai Simpson led with two assists and had 11 points and two rebounds.
• Casey George tallied eight points and two rebounds.
• The Saints were 65.4% (17-26) from the field, 28.6% (2-7) from the 3-point line, and 100% (5-5) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Mitchell Rylee made a layup to start things off in the second half with 19:16 on the clock to make it a 43-25 game.
• First year Tyler Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) drove to the rim for a layup to put the Saints up 47-31 with 15:53 remaining.
• Casey George drained a 3-point shot with 9:48 to play in the game to extend the Saints lead to 10 (53-43).
• Redshirt first year Zion Crowe (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) knocked in three free throws with 6:50 remaining to make it a 56-45 game.
• Mitchell Rylee had back to back dunks for the Saints final points of the game with 1:12 on the clock (73-60).
• Mitchell Rylee led with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the second half and had one assist.
• Casey George recorded seven points, three rebounds, and one assist.
