Twelve Different Saints Score in Home Opener Victory Over Earlham

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - Thomas More Universitys Men's Lacrosse team hosted Earlham on Wednesday (February, 26th) in their 2025 home opener. Thomas More topped the Quakers by a final score of 25 to 4. Thomas More moves to 1-1 overall on the season.

• Earlham took the early lead with an unassisted goal (0-1).
• Thomas More responded with back to back goals by junior Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) off assists from graduate student Wyatt Fruland (Cincinnati, OH / Indian Hill) (2-1).
• Junior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei Academy) adds to the lead with back to back unassisted goals to make it 4 to 1.
• Wyatt Fruland helps to extend the lead with assists on the next two goals from first year Brad Sejas (Liberty Township, OH / Bishop Fenwick) and junior Graham Houser (Hilliard, OH / St. Charles) as well as an unassisted goal to make it 7 to 1.
• Spencer Lethbridge adds two unassisted goals along with an unassisted goal from sophomore Aspen Cameron (Plain City, OH / Jonathon Alder) to make it 10 to 1.
• Brad Sejas finds senior Colin Thornton (Grafton, MA / Grafton) for a goal, followed by a Fruland to Lethbridge goal to make it 12 to 1.
• Thomas More ends the first quarter with a 13 to 1 lead after a Fruland goal on an assist from first year Colin Scalise (Westerville, OH / Thomas Worthington). 
• Joe Mariani gets the second quarter going with two unassisted goals to make it 15 to 1.
• Wyatt Fruland scores again this time off an assist from sophomore Jackson Goetz (Edgewood, KY / Dixie Heights) (16-1).
• Lethbridge adds another goal off an assist from first year Camden Newell (Westerville, OH / Olentangy Orange) which is followed by a goal from sophomore Collin Howard (Westerville, OH / Westerville North) (18-1).
• Collin Howard finds first year Jack Asebrook (Springfield, OH / Archbishop Carroll) for a goal, and sophomore Mario Hill (Chicago, IL / Loyola Academy) gets the face off and a goal to end the half with a 20 to 1 lead.
• Mariani finds Collin Howard for the first goal of the second half making it 21 to 1.
• Earlham scored with 9:40 to go in the third (21-2).
• Camden Newell gets back to back assists on goals by Mariani and Goetz. Brad Sejas follows with an unassisted goal and its 24 to 2 Saints.
• Earlham scores as we enter the final quarter.
• Colin Scalise finds the back of the net, and Earlham answers to bring it to a 25 to 4 final.

• Wyatt Fruland led the Saints with 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) in the match.
• Spencer Lethbridge recorded a team high in goals with 6 in the match.
• Joe Mariani tallied 5 goals and an assist on the night.
• Sophomore Stephen Schodowski (Chula Vista, CA / St. Augustine) led the Saints in face off victories with 13 and ground balls with 8.
• Thomas More goalies combined for 4 saves on the night.

• The Saints will travel to Midland, Michigan on Saturday (March, 1st) to take Northwood in the first G-MAC game of the season. Scheduled start at 1:00 PM.
