Men's Basketball Takes Down Ashland Behind Casey George's 28 Points

Box Score (Ashland, OH) - The Thomas More Men's Basketball team traveled to Ashland to take on the Ashland Eagles on Saturday (February, 1st). Thomas More defeates the Eagles by a final score of 66 to 61. The Saints move to an overall record of 13-8 on the season and 8-6 in G-MAC play.

• Senior Casey George (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington North) got the Saints started with a driving layup to score the first points of the game.
• Casey George continues his hot start with another bucket followed by a three pointer to give the Saints the early 7 to 0 lead.
• Junior Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, KY / Covington Catholic) knocks down a pair of free throws to cap off the Saint run. Thomas More leads 9 to 0 at the 15:11 mark of the opening half.
• With 13:00 left on the clock in the half, Casey George and Mitchell Rylee make back to back buckets to keep the 9 point lead for the Saints.
• Redshirt first year Zion Crowe (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) knocks down a three pointer off an assist from Casey George to end an Ashland run with 8:11 to go in the half (18-12).
• Casey George continues his productive half with three more buckets, as Thomas More leads 28 to 20 with 2:09 to go.
• With 1:11 to go in the half, Casey George scores another bucket for points 16 and 17 of the half. Thomas More leads 30 to 22.
