Men's Basketball Closes Out 2025 With Win Over Kentucky State

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Kentucky State on Wednesday afternoon (Dec 31), 90-59. The Saints improve their overall record to 7-4 and 1-3 in conference.

• Senior Ryan Paris (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) drained a 3-point basket to kick off the game to put the Saints up 3-0 with 19:49 on the clock.
• Redshirt junior Colin McHale (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) drove to the rim for a layup to make it a 7-2 game with 17:49 to play in the half.
• With 13:39 to play in the half, junior Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) hit a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 19-3.
• Colin McHale made a 3-point basket with 7:52 left in the half to put the Saints up 24-8.
• Ryan Paris knock in a 3-pointer to end the scoring for the first half with 32 seconds to play to give the Saints a 42-19 lead at the half.
• Carson Browne led the team with 10 points in the first half and had five rebounds and one assist.
• Redshirt sophomore Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Frederick Douglas) led the Saints with seven rebounds and had seven points and one assist.
• Colin McHale had six assists to lead the team and had seven points and four rebounds.
• Ryan Paris recorded nine points, two rebounds, and two assists.
• The Saints were 42.5% (17-40) from the field and 38.1% (8-21) from the 3-point line in the first half.

• Colin McHale made a layup to start off the second half with 19:27 on the clock to put the Saints up 44-22.
• Ryan Paris drove to the rim for a layup to make it a 50-24 game with 16:445 to play.
• Sophomore Jashaun Pouncy (Erlanger, Ky./Cooper) made a layup to extend the Saints lead to 66-30 with 11:33 on the clock.
• With 3:04 remaining, redshirt first year Carter (Johnstown, Ohio/Northridge) hit a 3-point shot to make it a 84-51 game.
• Sophomore Will Frey (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) made a layup for the final basket of the game.
• The Saints would defeat Kentucky State 90-59.
• Ryan Paris led the team with eight points in the second half and had one rebound and one assist.
• Jashuan Pouncy also tallied eight points to lead the team and had two assists and one rebound.
• First year Colin McClure (Columbus, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) recorded eight points to also lead the team in the second half and had three assists and two rebounds.
• Kai Simpson had four assists to lead the team and had six points and three rebounds.
• The Saints were 58.1% (18-31) from the field, 54.5% (6-11) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (8-12) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Ryan Paris led the team with 17 points and three rebounds and three assists.
• Kai Simpson led the team with a double double of 10 rebounds and 13 points and had five assists.
• Colin McHale led with seven assists and had 14 points and seven rebounds.
• Carson Browne tallied 10 points, eight rebounds, and one assists.
• The Saints were 49.3% (35-71) from the field, 43.8% (14-32) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (8-12) from the free throw line.
