Rylee Turner's Double Double Powers the Saints Past Purdue Northwest

(HAMMOND, IN)- Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Purdue Northwest, 68 to 67. The Saints overall record improves to 9-1 overall on the season.

• Senior Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a layup for the first Saint points of the day with 7:03 left in the opening quarter to also end a PNW run. (2-9)
• Sereniti Webb continued a strong opening quarter with the next three Saint buckets, as Thomas More trailes 15 to 8 with 3:04 left in the quarter.
• Thomas More trails at the end of the first quarter 17 to 11.
• Sophomore Amara Jackson (Huntington, WV / Huntington) got the Saints on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a layup to make it a six point game.
• Junior Desiree Tandy (Danville, KY / Danville) makes a layup with 7:35 left in the half to cut the PNW lead down to two.
• After the Saints knock down some free throws and get a stop, Sereniti Webb makes a layup to give TMU their first lead with 3:42 left in the half.
• Buckets by Sereniti Webb and senior Rylee Turner (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic) give Thomas More a 30 to 27 lead with 2:41 left to go.
• Thomas More is tied up at 30 at halftime.
• Thomas More shot 9-31 (29%) from the field, 0-8 (0%) from three, and 12-15 (80%) from the free throw line for the half.

• Sereniti Webb scored the first Saint bucket of the second half to make it a 35 to 32 game in favor of PNW.
• After back to back Sereniti Webb buckets, junior Morgan Hunt (Hollansburg, OH / Tri-Village) knocks down a triple to give Thomas More a 39 to 36 lead.
• Another triple from Morgan Hunt with 6:06 left in the third gives TMU a four point lead.
• Rylee Turner scores a pair of buckets in the closing minutes of the third quarter as the Saints trail 51 to 49 after three.
• Sereniti Webb scores the first points of the final quarter to tie the game at 51.
• Layups from Morgan Hunt and Rylee Turner give the Saints a 56 to 52 lead with 7:45 left to go.
• Morgan Hunt regains the lead for Thomas More with 5:43 to go with a layup.
• Morgan Hunt continues. strong second half with a three pointer with 4:32 to go to make the score 61 to 59.
• Morgan Hunt hits her 4th three pointer of the day to give Thomas More a one point lead with 2:09 to go.
• Saints make free throws down the stretch and go on to win 68 to 67.
• Thomas More shot 23-63 (36.5%) from the field, 4-17 (23.5%) from three, and 18-24 (75%) from the free throw line for the game.

• Rylee Turner recorded a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds in the game.
• Sereniti Webb led the Saints in scoring with 24 points to go with 8 rebounds.
• Morgan Hunt tallied 16 points and 6 rebounds in the game.
