Women's Basketball Dominates SVSU in Non-Conference Match-up

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Saginaw Valley State, 77-55. The Saints overall record improves to 8-1 and 2-1 in conference.

• Senior Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a layup to start things off to put the Saints on the board 2-0 with 8:13 on the clock.
• With 6:58 to play in the quarter, junior Morgan Hunt (Hollansburg, Ohio/Tri-Village) drained a 3-point shot to make it a 6-0 game.
• Sereniti Webb knocked in two free throws to give the Saints a 11-2 lead with 34 seconds remaining for the Saints final points of the quarter.
• The Saints would lead 11-5 at the end of the first quarter.
• Junior Izzy Rotert (Harrison, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) hit a jump shot to kick off the second quarter with 9:45 on the clock to extend the Saitns lead to 13-5.
• Senior Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) drove to the rim for a layup with 5:19 to play in the half (18-12).
• Senior Natalie Noel (Salem, Ind./Salem) made a layup for the Saints final basket of the half with 1:12 remaining to make ir a 30-18 game.
• The Saints would lead 30-20 going into the locker room at the half.
• Sereniti Webb led the 11 points and five rebounds in the first half.
• Rylee Turner also tallied five rebounds to lead the team and had five points.
• The Saints were 36.7% (11-30) from the field, 40% (2-5) from the 3-point line, and 75% (6-8) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Rylee Turner made a free throw to start things off in the second half for the Saints with 7:39 on the clock (31-28).
• Redshirt sophomore Rylee Leonard (Sardina, Ohio/Eastern Brown) banged a 3-point basket to tie things up 38-38 with 4:41 to play in the third quarter.
• Sereniti Webb made a layup with 46 seconds remaining for the Saints final basket of the quarter (55-42). 
• The Saints would lead 55-45 going into the final quarter.
• Sereniti Webb made a layup for the first basket of the fourth quarter to put the Saints up 57-45 with 9:47 on the clock.
• Izzy Rotert made a driving layup to extend the Saints lead to 66-49 with 6:20 to play. 
• First year Morgan Frey (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) made the final basket with a driving layup to secure the Saints 77-55 win over the Cardinals.
• Sereniti Webb led the team with 14 points and three rebounds in the second half.
• Izzy Rotert also tallied three rebounds to lead the Saints and had 10 rebounds.
• The Saints were 51.5% (17-33) from the field, 33.3% (3-9) from the 3-point line, and 71.4% (10-14) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Sereniti Webb led the Saints 25 points and eight rebounds.
• Izzy Rotert followed with 14 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.
• Rylee Turner recorded eight points, six rebounds, and four assists.
• The Saints were 44.4% (28-63) from the field, 35.7% (5-14) from the 3-point line, and 72.7% (16-22) from free throw line.

The Saints return Saturday (Dec 20) against Purdue Northwest at 1:00 pm ET in Hammond, Ind.
