Men's Basketball Falls in Double Overtime to Ashland

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to Ashland on Saturday (Dec 13), 91-88, in double overtime. The Saints overall record falls to 5-3 and 1-2 in conference.
First Half
  • Redshirt junior Colin McHale (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) drained a 3-point basket to get things started with 19:30 on the clock (3-0).
  • With 15:00 to play in the first half, redshirt first year Daniel Allen (Hodgenville, Ky./Laurel County) made a 3-point shot to put the Saints within one (9-10).
  • Redshirt sophomore Zion Crowe (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) drove to the rim for a layup with 11:40 left on the clock in the first half to make it a 11-14 game.
  • Redshirt sophomore Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Frederick Douglass) made a layup with 5:36 left in the half to cut the lead to 19-26.
  • Senior Ryan Paris (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) hit a 3-point shot for the Saints final basket of the half with 38 seconds remaining (30-35).
