Women's Soccer Picks Up Conference Win Over Ursuline

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team defeated Ursuline on Saturday afternoon (Oct 11), 5-0. The Saints overall record improves to 5-6-1 and 4-3-1 in conference.

• Senior Molly Hayes (Monroe, Ohio/Monroe) found the back of the net in the first four minutes of the game to put the Saints on top 1-0.
• First year Alexis Harden (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) scored in the upper right 90 off a double assist from first year Louise Kansing (Helsinge, Denmark/Gribskov) and graduate student Amy Bos (Nijmegen, Netherlands/Mondial Coll) to make it a 2-0 game. 
• Sophomore Ivy Hoffman (Covington, Ky./Holy Cross) extended the Saints lead to 3-0.
• In the 57th minute, Alexis Harden headed the ball into the net off a header by Louise Kansing for a 4-0 game.
• Junior Andjela Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Belgrade) scored in the 61st minute off a corner by sophomore Olivia Barga (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) to make it a 5-0 game.

• Molly Hayes tallied one shot on goal for a goal.
• Alexis Harden had two shots on goal for two goals.
• Louise Kansing recorded two assists.
• Amy Bos had one shot and two assists.
• Ivy Hoffman had three shots on goal with one going in.
• Senior Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) recorded one shot on goal.
• Senior Olivia Parr (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) shot one shot on goal.
• Andjela Popovic had two shots on goal with one being a goal.
• Olivia Barga had one assist.
• Sophomore Josie Gruber (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) tallied one shot on goal.

The Saints return on Thursday (Oct 16) against Walsh at 5:00 pm ET in Crestview Hills, Ky.
