Women's Basketball Takes Down the Timberwolves at Home

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Northwood on Saturday afternoon (January 25), 64-55. The Saints overall record improves to 8-11 and 5-6 in conference.
First Half
  • Sophomore Morgan Hunt (Hollansburg, Ohio/Tri-Village) made a layup to kick things off for the Saitns with 8:32 on the clock to tie things up at 2-2.
  • Sophomore Laney Baker (West Harrison, Ohio/East Central) drove to the rim for a layup with 5:34 to play in the quarter and extend the Saints lead to 8-4.
  • Junior transfer Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a layup for the final basket of the quarter with 19 seconds remaining (20-13).
  • With 8:55 on the clock, Sereniti Webb made the Saints first basket of the second quarter to make it a 22-15 game.
  • Morgan Hunt drove to the basket for a layup to tie things up at 26-26 with 3:17 to play in the half.
  • Sereniti Webb made the Saints final basket of the half with 1:22 on the clock (29-26).
  • The Saints would lead 29-28 going into the locker room at the half.
  • Sereniti Webb led the Saints with 11 points in the first half and had two rebounds.

  • Sophomore Desiree Tandy (Danville, Ky./Danville) made the Saints final point of the quarter with a free throw with 46 seconds on the clock (50-40).
  • The Saints would lead 50-42 going into the final quarter.
  • Morgan Hunt drained in a 3-point basket to start off the fourth quarter with 7:12 to play to put the Saints up 46-53.
  • First year Anna Drakeford (Harrodsburg, Ky./Mercer County) made a driving layup to extend the Saints lead tp 55-48 with 4:43 to play in the game.
  • Sereniti Webb made a layup for the Saints final basket with 52 seconds on the clock (64-50).
  • The Saints would secure the 64-55 win over the Timberwolves.
  • Rylee Turner led the Saints with 13 points and had three rebounds and one assist in the second half.
  • Morgan Hunt recorded five rebounds to lead the team and had six points and one assist.
  • Anna Drakeford tallied four assists to lead the Saints and had four points and two rebounds.
