Senior Casey George Records 1,000 Career Point, Saints Take Down Northwood at Home

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Northwood on Saturday (January, 25th) by a score of 81 to 52. Thomas More improves to an overall record of 12-7 and 7-5 in G-MAC play. Saints senior Casey George (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington North) recorded his 1,000 career point in the contest.

 First Half
  • Redshirt first year Jack McCune (Paducah, KY / McCracken County) got the Saints started with a three pointer off an assist from junior Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, KY / Covington Catholic) (3-0).
  • Redshirt first year Kai Simpson (Lexington, KY / Frederick Douglass) madeit back to back three pointer for the Saints to make it a 6 to 2 game.
  • Saints spring out to an 11 to 2 lead following a Mitchell Rylee layup and another three pointer from Kai Simpson with 16:46 to go in the half.
  • Senior Casey George (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington North) recorded his first points of the day on a layup off a Mitchell Rylee assist to make it 13 to 7 Saints.
  • George makes a driving layup, then answers a Northwood three with a three pointer of his own to make it 18 to 13 with 11:13 to go in the half.
  • With 5:20 to go in the half, Casey George ends a scoreless drought with a bucket to make it 22 to 18 Saints.
  • Senior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, KY / St. Henry) hits a triple off a pass from sophomore Carson Browne (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) to extend the Saint lead to 9 with 1:27 to go.

  • With 12:51 to go, Wyatt Vieth gives Thomas More their largest lead of the night with a three pointer to put them up 18.
  • First year Jashaun Pouncy (Erlanger, KY / Cooper) works his way inside for a layup to make it a 22 point game with 10:45 to play.
  • First year Tyler Johnson (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) scores his first bucket of the game with 8:18 to go to make it a 62 to 38 ball game.
