Saints Sweep Ursuline to Extend Win Streak

(Pepper Pike, OH) - The Thomas More women's volleyball team faced off against Ursuline College on Saturday (September 28) in their first away conference game.  The Saints swept Ursuline and are now 9-4 overall and 4-0 in conference.


Thomas More defeats Ursuline, 3-0.

• Thomas More won the opening set 25 to 16.
• Thomas More won the second set 25 to 17.
• Thomas More took the third set 25 to 18.

• Junior Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy McAuley) and Junior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 11 a piece.
• Freshman Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the Saints in assists with 19.
• Junior Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy McAuley), Junior Ella Bell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North), and Freshman Kate Koepke (New Haven, IN/New Haven Senior) all led in blocks with 2 each.
• Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) led the match in digs with 16.  She also led in service aces with 4.

 

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to play on Sunday (September 29) against Lake Erie College at Lake Erie.  The match is set for 1:00 PM.
