(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University football team took on Walsh University for homecoming on Saturday (September, 28th) evening. The Saints took down the Cavaliers for the second year in a row by a score of 44 to 21. Thomas More moves to 3-1 overall on the season, and 2-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

- Thomas More graduate student quarterback Rae'Von Vaden (Louisville, KY / Marion C. Moore) got the Saints started with an opening drive Touchdown pass to senior wideout Freddie Johnson (Cincinnati, OH / Colerain). Junior Luke Iden (Taylor Mill, KY / Scott) made the PAT to make it a 7-0 game.
- Walsh responded with an 11 yard Touchdown run to tie the game at 7 at the end of the opening quarter.

- Freddie Johnson recorded his second Touchdown catch of the evening this time on a 20 yard pass from Vaden. The Iden PAT gave the Saints a 14 to 7 lead.
- Walsh answered with a 5 yard Touchdown run and a PAT to tie the game at 14.
- Thomas More would take a halftime lead thanks to an 8 yard Vaden Touchdown run, followed by an Iden PAT to make it 21 to 14.
- Rae'Von Vaden continued his career night with a 32 yard Touchdown pass to sophomore Evan Brown (Lexington, KY / Lexington Catholic). The Iden PAT extended the lead to 28 to 14.
- With 3:39 to go in the quarter, Luke Iden makes a 30 yard field goal to stretch the lead to 31 to 14.

- Sophomore running back Eli White (Greensboro, NC / Cooper) breaks thru for a 9 yard touchdown run to open the final quarter. Iden's PAT made it 38 to 14.
- Freshman Martavious Smith (Bardstown, KY / Bethlehem) scampers for his first career Touchdown on a 5 yard run. The PAT was no good making it a 44 to 14 game.
- Walsh recorded a Touchdown with 5:34 to go on a 64 yard pass. The PAT made it a 44 to 21 game.

- Thomas More recorded 511 yards of total offense in the game. The Saints tallied 271 yards in the air and 240 on the ground.
- Rae'Von Vaden passed for 271 yards in the air on 19 completions, including 3 Touchdowns. He also rushed for 96 yards on 11 carries with a score.
- Evan Brown put up 152 yards in receiving with a Touchdown.
- Redshirt freshman Elijah Manning (Louisville, KY / Male) led the defense with a team high 5 tackles in the game.

The football team will return to action on Saturday (October, 5th) when the Saints travel to face the Tiffin Dragons. That game is scheduled to kickoff at 4:00 PM, and can be viewed on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
