Football Takes First Conference Loss Against Tiffin

(Tiffin, OH) – The Thomas More University football team fell at Tiffin on Saturday (October, 5th) by a score of 51 to 10. The Saints fall to an overall record of 3-2 and a G-MAC record of 2-1.

  • Tiffin struck first with a 13 yard touchdown pass and a PAT to take the early 7 to 0 lead.
  • Thomas More responded with a junior Luke Iden (Taylor Mill, KY / Scott) 36 yard field goal to make it a 7 to 3 game.

  • Tiffin put together a nice drive capped off by a 14 yard touchdown pass and a PAT to make it 14 to 3.
  • With 2:04 to go in the half, Tiffin found the end zone on a 2 yard run and a PAT to make it 21 to 3.
  • Tiffin ended the half with a 29 yard field goal to make it 24 to 3.
  • Tiffin capitalized on a TMU interception by returning it for a touchdown. The PAT made it 31 to 3.
  • Graduate Rae'Von Vaden (Louisville, KY / Marion C. Moore) found the endzone on a two yard touchdown run.The Iden PAT made it a 31 to 10 ball game.
  • Tiffin added another touchdown with 3 minutes to go in the quarter on a 39 yard pass to make it 37 to 10.

  • Tiffin opened the final quarter with a two yard touchdown run and a PAT to make it 44 to 10.
  • With a minute to go, Tiffin adds another touchdown on a 9 yard run. The PAT made it 51 to 10.

  • Redshirt junior Jaden Hall (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) led the offense with 43 yards rushing in the game.
  • Sophomore Evan Brown (Lexington, KY / Lexington Christian Academy) led the Saints in receiving with 68 yards.
  • Redshirt junior Jevan Rivers (Duval County, FL / Edward H. White) led the defense in tackles with 10.

The football team will return to action on Saturday (October, 12th) when they play host to Northwood. That game is set to kick off at 12:00 PM.
